I am so glad you found me. I look forward to sharing Mama Gaia’s wisdom with you!

Below you'll find a Medicine Pouch of some powerful and loving ways to honor your moon cycle. My hope is that by incorporating these self-care tools into your life, you open the space for more rituals that honor you and your journey.

Here's a simple aromatherapy blend you can make up yourself, to soothe cramps and help warm your core and bring peace to your heart. I hope you love it!

period potion aromatherapy blend

3 drops rose geranium

2 drops clary sage

4 drops lavender

3 drops sweet orange

1 drop clove

1 drop nutmeg or ginger

1 drop black pepper

carrier oil (jojoba, olive, almond, sesame, etc)

Directions: Pour essential oils together in dark glass bottle (roller bottle or dropper). Cap bottle tightly and roll between your hands for 30 seconds to blend. Uncap bottle and fill to top with the carrier oil of your choice. For best results, rub over womb starting two weeks before your moontime.

One of the things that really makes our Moontime beautiful is the solitude and contemplation that it asks. Moontime -and especially right before we start our flow - is the time when our bodies call us to nest a little; to snuggle into the couch with a cup of tea and a poem, to allow our bodies to rest while our minds gently explore. I love reading poetry during this time, and here is one of my favorites. I love the body love, the way her spacing pulls you into a steady, dripping rhythm, the praise of our "wild water"...

POEM IN PRAISE OF MENSTRUATION
by Lucille Clifton

if there is a river
more beautiful than this
bright as the blood
red edge of the moon          if

there is a river
more faithful than this
returning each month
to the same delta          if there

is a river
braver than this
coming and coming in a surge
of passion, of pain          if there is

a river
more ancient than this
daughter of eve
mother of cain and of abel          if there is in

the universe such a river          if
there is some where water
more powerful than this wild
water
pray that it flows also
through animals
beautiful and faithful and ancient
and female and brave

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness
That most frightens us.

We ask ourselves
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
— Marianne Williamson
